Japanese Station Name Kana Quiz

A mobile browser game about Japanese railways. Start at the first station of a real line, read the station name written in kanji, and type its kana reading on the on-screen keyboard. Work your way to the terminus and the game records your total time. 50 lines from 9 operators are included.

How to play

1. Pick a line from the index below and start at its first station.
2. The station name appears in kanji — type its reading with the kana keyboard.
3. Each station has a time limit. Answer correctly to move on; if you run out of time you can reveal the answer, but that station is marked as skipped.
4. Challenge mode times your run and keeps your fastest results. Practice mode shows the kana up front, so you can learn as you go — those runs are not recorded.
5. Finish a line and you can generate a shareable image with your time on it.

Notes

• The game interface is in Japanese. Station names and kana readings follow each operator’s official notation.
